Most people only learn about world geography when we go to war in a foreign country. St. John Kerry's tireless diplomacy regarding Aleppo is not enough. For Americans to take the trouble to learn about Aleppo, we have to he involved there in a military way, and I don't think that air campaigns by themselves would do the trick.
