It is already the seat of the consular community (the UK, French, Belgian, Italian, Turkish, Swedish and other consulates are already here [they presumably have some claim to the premises they have long occupied here], as are the headquarters and West Bank field office of UNRWA [here since 1950] and the offices of other UN agencies and international NGOs). There are also a number of prominent hotels, two major charitable hospitals and a number of cultural institutions.
