Day Two: Some Reactions

Looking over the morning press a few particular reactions to the speech stand out. Of course there are plenty of wait-and-see or "where's the beef?" comments and some of the more cynical bloggers dismissing it, but three particular responses strike me immediately; I'll have more later:

• Haaretz sees a "strategic revolution" for Israel in Obama's speech. It's a strong editorial suggesting a real revolutionary moment.
  

• The Daily Star sees the speech as brilliant power politics and suggests Rahm Emanuel's role in the Administration made it possible to take on the Israel lobby.

• Al-Manar (that is, Hizbullah) picks up Haaretz' assessment and repeats it: an interesting choice in itself, and one that could be seen as a feeler from Hizbullah, perhaps.
