Egypt Lifts its Blockade of Gaza

The international outcry over the raid on the aid flotilla has provoked at least one reaction that, in effect, could effectively undercut the purpose of the raid: Egypt has lifted its blockade of the Rafah Crossing in order to allow aid to pass from Sinai into Gaza. It's variously described as being lifted "for several days" or "indefinitely," but it's no doubt due to commentary like this, referring to the "medieval Israeli and Egyptian siege of Gaza." Egypt suddenly finds itself perceived as an enabler. (I'll let the slur on the Middle Ages pass for now.)
