A 20th Century Egyptian Trinity

I don't know when or where, but this photo is an amazing juxtaposition:

Umm Kulthum on the left, Naguib Mahfouz in the middle, and Tawfiq al-Hakim in his inevitable beret, gesturing at right.

Now that would have been a dinner conversation.
