Tonight is Christmas Eve in the Eastern Christian Churches which use the Julian Calendar (some 300 million Christians worldwide) and today was the Epiphany or Twelfth Night among Western Christian Churches. To mark Eastern Christmas, here's the Coptic Church's nativity hymn (in Greek with subtitles), E Parthenos:

It's a video clip with Arabic and English subtitles, icons, a Greek text and a Nay playing the intro. You're getting something else?
Now I'm getting English audio followed by Arabic audio, but at least it is a Coptic nativity chant. Possibly adapted for modern day congregations. Previously, it was Auld Lang Syne. I'll wait until Orthodox Christmas in 2016 for the early church Greek version, which I won't understand anyway!
