Was Dahlan Trying to Form a Militia?

There's a new twist to the "Where's Muhammad Dahlan?" story (early reports here and here): Ha'aretz is reporting that Mahmud ‘Abbas and the Palestinian Authority have questioned Fatah activists about their being asked to help form an armed militia. Whether true or not I have no idea. On one of my earlier where's Dahlan post an anonymous commenter posted, "Who cares?" Apparently Abu Mazen does.
