Christopher Boucek, who has written and commented extensively on issues relating to security, politics and terrorism in the Arabian Peninsula, especially Yemen, at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, died unexpectedly today at the age of only 38. I did not know him personally, but know his work; he was an increasingly influential figure in policy circles in Washington. Carnegie has an appreciation here. May he rest in peace.
