Another Bloody Friday in Heliopolis

Only a day after al-Azhar announced a ten-point initiative to end violence in Egypt, there has been a new round of police/demonstrator violence near the Presidential palace in Heliopolis, leaving one dead and dozens injured. Predictably the Muslim Brotherhood and the Presidency (increasingly hard to distinguish) and the opposition are each blaming the other, and there are widespread complaints of police excesses, at least some if which were documented by video:
It's probably pointless to try to assign blame at this point: except that clearly, the police are still using their Mubarak-era rules of engagement.
