Tunisia Closes Border with Libya

Tunisia has closed its main border crossing with Libya after thousands of foreign workers, mostly Egyptians, tried to enter without visas, as the foreign flight from  Libya continues. Tunisia has urged its own nationals in Libya, estimated at 50,000-60,000, to leave.

The Greek Navy frigate en route to evacuate Greek nationals will also evacuate some 80 Chinese, while the Lebanese community is also seeking to leave. The Philippines is also evacuating its nationals.

Meanwhile in the eastern part of the country, Gen. Khalifa Haftar has denied media reports that he had fled to Egypt.
