Yesterday's "dialogue" between Egypt's Military Council and the Revolutionary Youth ended in disarray, with young supporters of the Revolution charging that the Army handed out a multi-point agenda and proceeded to deliver a monologue. (Another account here.)
This would seem to be yet another example of the tin ear of the Military Council, which has shown a tendency to revert to old regime methods and then come out with apologies, as if it's struggling to figure out the new world it claims to support. It may also reflect the tendency of military men to equate "dialogue" with "Power Point Presentation," an equation all too common over here as well.
