Sorry, Full: Tahrir Today

Turnout in Tahrir Square for the first anniversary has been huge and, so far (it's evening now), peaceful. The various competing narratives about the day do not appear to have produced any major clashes.

Not only has Tahrir itself been full to capacity, but the second photo shows the crowd on Qasr al-Nil bridge leading to it.

Impressive pictures, Mike. However, "There's a lot of coffee in Brazil," as the song goes. One thing for sure, no one is in control of this, and the outcome won't be decided either by the SCAF, the political leaders, the preachers in the mosques or the young Egyptians flooding the cyber sphere with their opinions.
