Two Bombers, Policeman Killed in Saudi Attack
Late breaking from tomorrow's papers: a shootout at a security checkpoint in Jizan is Saudi Arabia near the border with Yemen: two terrorists wearing explosive vests killed and one Saudi police officer killed in the shootout. That first link is the BBC; for a Saudi account in Arabic see here. Like the August attempt on Muhammad Bin Nayef this is being blamed on Al-Qa‘ida in the Arabian Peninsula and is linked to events in Yemen; Jizan is another of those Saudi border areas (‘Asir, Jizan, Najran) that were among the last incorporated into the Kingdom in the 1930s and that have many links with Yemen. More as this evolves.

Can anyone tell me if the three militants have been identified yet? It was initially reported that two of them were on the latest list of wanted Saudis, but then nothing more was said about it.
Abdul,
Two of them have been identified by the MOI.

More background info on the participants in the attack.
In the first, the motive for Ra'id joining AQ was the death of his brother in Iraq fighting for AQ.
