The Elections of 2013

The new year looks to be an important one for elections in the Middle East, some of which are likely to have major consequences. Beginning with Israel's elections on January 22, and Jordanian Parliamentary elections just a day later, they will gather momentum in June with the first round of the Iranian Presidential elections on June 14, and Tunisia's Presidential. and Parliamentary elections on June 23.

Egypt's newly adopted constitution calls for a new Parliament to be elected within two months of the adoption of the Constitution,  so those are coming up as well.

Later in the year Qatar and Pakistan are due to hold legislative elections and there will be Presidential elections in Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.
